The bulk of thiscollection consists of typescripts, research articles and notes as well as newspaperarticles which the researcher and historian Toni Oelsner wrote on the subject ofJews in medieval Germany. Her research deals with anti-Judaic and anti-Semiticstereotypes, as they appeared in the Christian culture of southern Germany. Inparticular Oelsner analyzed economic processes and their impact on and creating ofanti-Semitic harassment and persecution against Jewish communities in southernGermany. Research works that drew public attention relate to anti-Judaic violentpersecutions in Endingen in the 1460s.

Born in 1907, Toni Oelsner studied Sociology and History in Germany until 1934. Oelsner was active in various politically left-leaning organizations, before she immigrated to the United States via England in 1939, where she graduated from the New School for Social Research in New York with a Master's degree.
